MINIMUM DESCRIPTION
Commonpoint is a non-profit, multi-service agency with flagship sites in Little Neck, Bayside, Forest Hills, East Elmhurst, and Jamaica with 80 additional sites throughout the community that provides a diverse array of programs and services to over 85,000 individuals. Program Overview:
Within our framework of holistic, strength-focused, and family-supported practice, an individual hired as the Program Coordinator in the Youth Opportunity Hub will report directly to the Senior Director of High School and College Success.

Youth Opportunity Hub
Commonpoint is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Coordinator for Enrichment and Exploratory Programs. This role involves managing a diverse array of certification and training programs, including Music Production, Art, Fitness, Animation, and other Enrichment-based programming. The Coordinator will oversee recruitment, enrollment, retention, and data management, ensuring student success and tracking job placements post-program. This role also includes planning community events and collaborating with other programs to enhance offerings at the Youth Opportunity Hub.

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, Program Management, Social Services, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
● Proven experience in managing educational and certification programs.
● Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
● Experience with data management, tracking systems, and reporting tools.
● Ability to support student success and manage multiple programs simultaneously.
● Knowledge of certification processes and job placement strategies.
● Commitment to Commonpoint's holistic and strength-based approach to human development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
○ Supervise the Youth Opportunity Hub Music, Art, Animation, Fitness, and other enrichment-based programs.
○ Supervise part-time facilitators of the enrichment programs.
○ Handle recruitment, enrollment, retention, and data management.
○ Track daily attendance, support student success, and follow up on job placements.
○ Provide safe and secure supervision and care, manage conflicts, and use de escalation and restraint techniques as necessary.
○ Offer structure and engage youth in pro-social activities and behaviors.
○ Support youth in developing new social, academic, and vocational skills and interests.
○ Enroll clients in the fitness, art, and music production programs.
○ Provide information about outside support services or agencies for economic, emotional, or physical challenges.
○ Maintain case files and reports to track student problems and progress and recognize patterns in behavior.
○ Monitor attendance and program progress for assigned caseloads.
○ Provide necessary referrals and connections to community resources.
○ Work collaboratively with team members, participating in staff meetings, contractor meetings, and staff development to support student progress.
○ Collaborate with other programs to enhance community engagement and program offerings.
○ Support participants' families and deliver a holistic approach to overcoming barriers.
○ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Hours: Full-Time, 35 Hours/Week
Start Date: September 1, 2026
Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000
