Our wide range of programs, spanning social services, education, and recreation, reflects our mission to build a more connected, inclusive, and thriving community for all.

ABOUT THE ROLE
To continue advancing our impact across the communities we serve, Commonpoint is hiring a full-time Benefits Coordinator to support NYC Benefits ABAWD program participants within the Adult Workforce Department at our Bronx and Elmhurst locations.

The Benefits Coordinator will serve adult participants ages 18 and older who are enrolled in programs, providing benefits navigation, application assistance, participant support, and connections to services that promote stability and workforce participation. The Coordinator will help participants understand applicable program expectations, address benefits-related concerns, and resolve barriers that may interfere with engagement in employment, training, or other program activities.
Working closely with Employment and Benefits Coordinators and program leadership, the Benefits Coordinator will support participants from intake through ongoing program participation. This includes identifying immediate needs, coordinating referrals, monitoring follow-up, and maintaining accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting adults with benefits, access or related social services, strong organizational and customer service skills, and the ability to manage participant needs and documentation requirements across two locations. Spanish-language proficiency is required.

Schedule
This position is primarily based in Elmhurst, Queens, with a typical schedule of 9:00 am–5:00 pm or 10:00 am–6:00 pm. Flexibility is required, as occasional travel to other Commonpoint sites, including the Bronx, NY, may be needed for program oversight, special projects, client support, meetings, and participant outreach events.
The Coordinator’s schedule will be coordinated with program leadership to ensure consistent participant access and appropriate coverage.
